Greetings to you from the Morehouse School of Medicine Community Pediatric Residency Training Program. We are glad that you want to learn more about us, and we hope that as you explore our website, you will see our commitment to the community and underserved populations.

Atlanta is a remarkably diverse city which is reflected in the children and adolescents we care for daily. We care for children from across the globe with diverse cultures and languages. Every day during your residency is a learning day and we passionately believe that our differences make us stronger. We have the traditional direct patient care rotations, but we also have rotations that give more concentrated attention to the social determinants of health which is in line with the mission of Morehouse School of Medicine. We are cultivating future physicians that will not only be outstanding clinicians but will be "Leading the creation and advancement of health equity to achieve health justice."

Even though our Pediatric Residency Program is small, we are affiliated with Georgia’s premier children’s hospital network, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where you will do many of your rotations. The personal engagement that a small program offers along with the patient volumes and complexities of a larger city program make Morehouse an ideal training program for many.

I have the privilege to work with some of the most compassionate and dedicated faculty, residents, and administrative team here at Morehouse School of Medicine. The family atmosphere and support you will receive in our program will ensure you realize your full potential in pediatric medicine. “It’s a new day at Morehouse School of Medicine” and we are excited to have you join our team.
